Video play counts — When you watch a video, we record that a video was played along with a hashed (anonymized) version of your IP address. This is used solely to generate internal statistics about which videos are popular. The raw IP address is never stored.
Channel suggestions — If you submit a channel suggestion through our suggestion form, we collect the email address and channel name you provide. This information is used only to review and respond to your suggestion.
Server logs — Like all web servers, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not require account creation or collect names, passwords, or profile information

YouTube Content

Whip Watchers displays videos from YouTube. When you watch a video through our platform, the video is served by YouTube and is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control how YouTube collects or uses data during video playback.

Cookies and Local Storage

Our website uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to remember which videos you have already seen so we can display "New" badges on unwatched content. This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Children's Privacy

Whip Watchers is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data Retention

Anonymized video play statistics are retained indefinitely for internal reporting purposes. Channel suggestion emails are retained until reviewed and then deleted. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days.

Third-Party Links

Whip Watchers links to YouTube videos and channels. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of YouTube, Google, or any other third-party websites linked from our platform.
